As we are all far too well aware, 2020 and the rise of the Covid-19 Virus spelled the end for the great majority of events scheduled throughout the year, including our beloved air shows. So many of us in the aviation community have been wondering how 2021 would shape up as far as getting some of our favorite events “back in the air”. To put it simply things are looking good. The USAF Thunderbirds and USN Blue Angels have both released 2021 season schedules and the F-35 and A-10 Demo Teams have done the same. Look for a complete air show calendar of events at slickpixels.com, available in April.
UPDATE: 04/20/2021
Things are still looking good for a return to the air for a 2021 show season. The Planes of Fame Air Museum is currently scheduled to have their air show over Halloween weekend this October. Additionally, the American Aeronautical Foundation returned to the air earlier this month with their B-25 Mitchell, Executive Sweet. The Mitchell is sporting a second new engine after her downtime and the updated pair of radials sound amazing! The AAF is looking forward to a bright future in the months ahead.
We are currently in the process of a complete overhaul of our slickpixels.com web site and will have all the latest events calendared there in the coming days… STAY TUNED!
